Tarjans Studio Gallery is an online gallery representing the art and literature of Janet Tarjan Erl. Janet has been creating professional fine art and illustrations for most of her adult life. She has also created quite a body of essays regarding her art, her experiences in nature, and her philosophies on life. Her art has exhibited internationally in museums, galleries, and exhibitions, and has been collected by fine art enthusiasts for over twenty years.
Janet is a unique blend of artist, writer, and explorer. She frequently explores the wild regions of nature. Whether she explores on foot, bike, skis, or kayak, she explores all types of terrain and bodies of water from canyons, mountains, forests, and deserts, to lakes, rivers, and oceans. These adventures provide her with inspirations for her artistic expression. Janet explores to experience the creativity, complexity, and depth of life - all of which inspire her to share those experiences with others through her art and writing. She has witnessed the dramatic, the vivid, the somber, and serene. She is a curious and passionate naturalist - a Thoreau of sorts, and like Thoreau, she knows that the journey is the reward.
Though this gallery represents only a slice of the creations Janet has made, they do represent a significant enough portion that one should be able to see how Janet interprets reality.
