Title: Sweet Summer

This painting was created to capture the quintessence of horses in a mountain meadow. This is quite a collection of varied horses plus a mule - a bay, pinto, appalousa, mule, and two sorrels. I created this from various resources of horses I had photographed. The setting too was comprised of many elements. This is Big Meadows in the Marble Mountain Wilderness, Siskiyou County. The mountains in the background are from the eastern Sierra Nevada mountains near Bishop, California.
